Thailand’s “Miss Globe International” actress, Nida Patcharaweeraphong, has died after she fell off her speedboat while indulging in a holiday in Bangkok, authorities said on Sunday. She was 37. The actress, who became an internet star after she won the Miss Globe International beauty pageant, released a statement via her management agency on Saturday saying she had suffered a heart attack while on the boat. Police said she had drowned after losing control of the speedboat full of “friends”. She was canoeing with another person when the boat they were riding tipped over due to a huge wave. According to the police, Nida Patcharaweeraphong, 37, fell off from a rented speedboat at Sai Yoke pier in Thon Buri in the early morning of March 17. Witnesses said that she was with three other people on the boat. It is believed that Nida may have fallen into the Chao Phraya River as she bumped into another boat. Two fire engines and a rescue boat were sent to search for Nida under the direction of Thon Buri police deputy commander Pol Col Akanit Danwarakorn.
