According to the Duluth Police, they received an alert from the crime scene from where the shooting occurred. The call was received and responded to at around 9:28 pm and the police searched the area near the South Lake Avenue near the Green Mill restaurant and they were searching Canal Park as well for the accused. Although when the police reached the accused had already fled from there, police looked at the whole area thoroughly. Later it came out that the person who shot and the person who got injured knew each other, which states that the shoot was carried out on personal hatred basis and there is no danger to the other people. Despite that, the police anyways looked for any danger to the common civilians.

The police closed the whole area and also the South Lake Avenue area as well to avoid the accused from getting far away from the area but after investigating the whole area there was no sign of the shooter’s presence in the area. After the search was done, the South Lake Avenue was again opened and the area was declared free of risks. The area was opened again around 10:30 pm after searching for one hour. Although the search was stopped in the area and there was no sign of the shooter in the area the police are actively looking for the shooter in other areas as well. According to the police, the shooter is still active and it is considered ongoing. More information will be released by the police later after the investigation.

After searching vigorously and also interacting with the person who was shot, the police came to a conclusion that the two involved in the shoot, the shooter and the victim knew each other and they also noted down the appearances and the whereabouts ideas of the shooter from the victim. The police are actively looking for the killer and soon they will come to a conclusion as they now have the identity of the accused. More information can be obtained after the police complete their investigations and something reasonable about why the shoot has occurred can be testified. The man was injured and the injury occurred on his leg, but thankfully there was no loss of life.
